Celtics Dance Team To Lead Newly Created Workout Throughout NBA Season
Boston Sports Clubs and the Boston Celtics Dancers join forces once again, offering Bostonians a chance to dance with the pros. This NBA season, Boston Sports Clubs will offer a 50-minute, dance-based, cardio workout led by dance team members. The class will be FREE to the public and open to non-members.
The dance workout, choreographed by Celtics dance coach Marina Ortega is designed for all fitness levels. During the cardio dance class, participants will learn the moves seen every game on the Garden’s sidelines. The monthly master class will kick off today, Monday, November 1st at 5:30pm at the Wellington Circle Boston Sports Clubs location. While not teaching classes, the Boston Celtics Dancers also use the Boston Sports Clubs facilities to train, revise and perfect their routines.

In October, the NBA’s newest and most fan-friendly arena, the Orlando Magic’s Amway Center, will open its doors. As the home of entertainment in Orlando, Amway Center is poised to set the new standard among world-class arenas.
From the beginning, the Magic wanted their new home to offer unique amenities on every level, including clubs and restaurants with a view of the game. When it came time to realize their vision, they called upon Venice, CA-based RipBang Studios to bring it to life.

NBA and Bacardi announce new multiyear marketing relationship and scholarship initiative
More than $100,000 to be provided annually through the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. announced a comprehensive multiyear marketing relationship in support of the BACARDI® Gold rum brand which will include a series of joint marketing activities and highlight both companies’ commitment to corporate responsibility.
The agreement includes the launch of the new Gold Standard Scholarship Program which will award more than $100,000 annually to help dedicated students reach their educational goals. In partnership with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, the program will provide financial assistance to minority students in select NBA markets who are 21 years of age or older and are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees. It will recognize individuals who not only excel in the classroom, but exemplify the values of leadership and service in their communities. Peak Sport and NBA kicks off Peak NBA Youth Basketball Development Plan
Strived to Cultivate Reserve Forces for China Basketball Industry
Peak Sport held a grand ceremony on 21 January 2010 in Beijing to announce the kick off of “Peak – NBA Youth Basketball Development Plan“, which aims to cultivate reserve forces for the China basketball industry and further promote its development.
“Peak – NBA Youth Basketball Development Plan” is a large-scale nationwide basketball promotion campaign jointly launched by Peak Sport and NBA. “Peak NBA 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament” will be the highlight of the Project. The targeted participants of the tournament are the young basketball enthusiasts aged between 18 and 24. Matches will be held in 12 major cities all over the country including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Changsha, Shenyang, Chengdu, Chongqing and Qingdao. The winning team from each city will join a comprehensive NBA training camp conducted by athletes and coaches from NBA, NBDL and WNBA, and will undergo a series of professional basketball training. During the training, the participants will have a chance to play in courts with NBA stars Jason Kidd and Ron Artest. All the winning teams will compete in the National Final and the champion will visit the US, watching the home matches of the Lakers team and the team’s pre- match training. The visit will provide a great opportunity for the participants to learn the world-class techniques from the NBA stars. They may even have a chance to have dinner with Ron Artest.
With respect to the kick off of “Peak – NBA Youth Basketball Development Plan“, Mr. XU Zhihua, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Peak Sport, said: “We have been contributing our effort to the development of the basketball industry for the Chinese youth for years.
