NASCAR Gets Greener: G-Oil Joins With Tayler Malsam, TriStar for 2012 Nationwide Series
The NASCAR world got a bit greener today. G-Oil, America’s first and only API and USDA certified bio-based full synthetic motor oil, announced that it will sponsor driver Tayler Malsam and the TriStar Motorsports Toyota Camry team for the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series.
“G-Oil wants to demonstrate to consumers that our American-made green racing oil can stand up to the rigors of NASCAR competition,” said Jeffrey Loch, President and CMO of Green Earth Technologies, Inc. “Remember, ‘G-Oil’ is not just on the car– it is IN the car,” said Loch.
Seattle area native Tayler Malsam, 22, got his first laps aboard the #19 G-Oil Toyota during a day-long recent test at the Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando. “There is already an energy and excitement building around the G-Oil TriStar Toyota team,” said Malsam.

Walmart and NASCAR Team Properties Announce Relationship Featuring Discounted Tickets, Merchandise and Special Events for Race Fans
Walmart will offer NASCAR licensed merchandise and discounted tickets to select races as part of the largest retail promotion in NASCAR history
Walmart and NASCAR, the country’s most popular motorsport, announced a new relationship designed to give Walmart customers and race fans new NASCAR branded merchandise and special savings on race tickets available on Walmart.com/NASCAR for select races. The new retail program, branded “Race Time”, is the largest retail promotion in NASCAR’s history and launches in 1,500 Walmart stores just in time for the start of the season with the 53rd running of the Daytona 500 (FOX, Sunday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. ET).
This new relationship will begin with select NASCAR and NASCAR team licensed merchandise in Walmart stores and grow in the future to include more merchandise and various sponsor products.
Participating Walmart stores will offer exciting merchandise such as T-shirts, racing flags, and tailgating food and beverages with even more selection of merchandise on Walmart.com/NASCAR. From Rockets to Race Cars, NASA returns to NASCAR
Hold on to your hats race fans, NASA is coming to NASCAR.
From better brakes and safer tires to heat-resistant paint and cleaner emissions, NASA’s contributions to the racing world will be featured in the traveling exhibit: “From Rockets to Race Cars” the weekend of April 30-May 1 at the Richmond International Raceway.
Over the years, NASA has provided technology that not only helps the racing world, but also improves conditions for all drivers while helping to protect the environment. On display will be a quarter-scale NASA Benefits Race Car as well as a Wheel Exhibit, that includes a NASCAR tire, Shuttle tire, Lunar Rover tire, Lunar Tweel (a non-pneumatic tire/wheel combination) and a Spring Tire allowing fans the opportunity to see, touch and compare the wheels of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Fans will get a shot at NASA Spin the Wheel where they can win prizes if they answer NASA-related questions correctly. A “Rockets to Race Car” photo opportunity will allow visitors to have a photo taken with their own camera in which they look like they are sitting in a NASA Race Car.
