STRIKEFORCE: Fedor Emelianenko vs.  Fabricio Werdum was the main fight on Strikeforce Saturday`s night big show hosted in San Jose, California.

In the front of 12,698 crowd, Fabricio Werdum won by a quick TKO (1.09) against Fedor Emelianenko.

In the opening seconds of the big fight, it looked as if Emelianenko (31-2) would quickly beat Werdum (14-4-1) like he does most opponents. But Werdum, a master of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, considered to be a man who had the skills to beat the legendary Russian nicknamed The Last Emperor, locked Emilianenko in a triangle choke with an armbar and the mythical Fedor Emelianenko was forced to tap out at 1:09 of the first round.

“Fedor always has been my idol” Werdum said. Emilianenko was the best in the world with 10 years of no loss.

Amazing fight, very good fighters!

HYDROGEN POWERED RACE CAR tackles Baja California ‘The Roughest Race on the Planet’ by 500 miles…

For the first time in history hydrogen was mixed with race fuel to power a 700 HP Trophy Truck on the roughest 500 mile course in history. Against all odds and a sea of skepticism from the off-road community Hessgen Hydrogen powered #88 lined up to do battle with the best in the business. It was a testament of complete commitment, will and strength that got the team through 500 miles of the meanest, roughest and worst roads on the planet.

Brian Hess (Hessgen founder/inventor) is a self-made entrepreneur who has experienced business in tough arenas. He is known for his tenacious pit-bull like determination when it comes to challenges both business and personal. He lives by his motto “all in and never give up” no matter what the odds or obstacles presented before him.

The Baja race course proved to be nastier than expected, by race mile 5 Hess had flipped the truck over and the entire plan lay on its back in a ditch. With enormous help from the Mexican people watching the race and a quick “hotwire of a forklift” by Hess, trophy truck #88 was back in business and back on course in less than 90 minutes. The hydrogen system located on the top rear section of the truck had survived the crash and was still working flawlessly! This alone proved that the Hessgen System is safe in an impact-rollover crash and tough enough to meet the demands of everyday over the road driving. Read more

June 23, 2010 · Filed Under Cycling, Sports News · Comment

Team Green Britain’s Bike Week is underway and is showing the nation that cycling is not only good for the environment, your health and your wallet, but is a lot of fun, too. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, a commuter or a fair weather cyclist, the Gocycle electric bicycle is the easiest way to enjoy the ride.

To watch Gocycle talk about the nation falling back in love with cycling, please visit YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIz21uL6hi4).

Gocycle is the first ever two-wheeler with a frame and wheels moulded from magnesium alloy, making it not only super light but extremely tough – perfect for urban cyclists who ride several times a week. It seems there are plenty of those: statistics show that we’re currently experiencing a 17-year high in the number of cyclists on the roads, with 42% of those being commuters. With commuting and congestion charges still prohibitively high for some, cycling is a great way to save money.

With electric power at the touch of a button, Gocycle is not only great for anyone who doesn’t want to arrive at the office hot and sweaty, but is also perfect for beginner cyclists who are gradually building up their stamina. Read more
